What I will tell you is that I have a lot of things going on, musically and webbily.  I’m working on a new disc or two, maybe each an EP, but I do have a tendency to get carried away, so we’ll see how long each is in the end.  All my works are unabridged, so you get some pretty long songs and those songs might trail off into lala-land, because I really don’t edit them for time or content.  Working on a few websites and realizing as I write this how neglected my own is because of this.  Just no time for that when I’m trying to do good work for others that deserve a good website to help achieve their dreams.

I did buy a Canon HD Camcorder and have taken lots of classes on Final Cut (NOT X, mind you). I also upgraded my Adobe CS to the Production 5.5 (I think 5.5 was the latest) during the summer, so I have Photoshop Extended, Premiere and After Effects.  Since the FCX thing happened, I’ve been looking at migrating.  Since I’ve been using Adobe CS since 2002, I figured this might be a good opportunity to see what Adobe could offer in terms of the moving picture.

Speaking of pictures:  Many more pictures to come.  I have a lot of artsy fartsy photo projects that I should probably get up soon.  They’ve been sitting, along with loads of music, on my hard drive all year (also had to buy another external hard drive to keep up with all this space-consuming audio and video), and I could share them at any time, once I get a chance.

I’ll update with more links and info as I receive it. I’m very happy to be working on this project and using my creative skills to highlight these heartfelt, amazing stories.

Although all of the artists profiled were unique and inspiring,  Yayoi Kusame’s work seemed to resonate the most with me personally.  I still plan to research more on each of the artists profiled, as sometimes I didn’t feel that they had enough time to show each piece for the viewer to really dissect it and get the most out of it.  They only had one hour and that was including commercials and the archival footage as well as interviews with the artists.

I would very much like to see if some of these artists will be exhibited elsewhere, especially if they are in Chicago, I’d like to go, so that I can be physically near the work.  That is the only way to immerse yourself in it as a viewer, but I’m happy that the internet and TV at least provide awareness of these great works.  At least I can post a little bit, hoping to whet the blog readers’ interest if they are not familiar?  YES.

She has more that are in natural settings that I like.  And although it is a lot of polka dots, it’s certainly by no means limited to polka dots; nor is it limited to a canvas, as you can see. (In the documentary, she tells a tale of how the polka dots escaped her canvas one day, and she desired to put them all over a room…and herself!)

The local paper printed a story about the documentary that aired back in November and details a lot of hometown folks who taught me about music. You can check it out in this week’s printed paper or online at:

Needless to say, it was a lot of ground to cover and my apologies to not getting them into the article. There were many, many teachers over the years and each one played a vital part in my musical upbringing.

I know that when I had creative common-ed the three piano tracks from 2006 that it had some radio play in England.  Perhaps some of you across the pond will hear it?  I see iTunes and Amazon Europe & UK sales quite a bit lately, and that couldn’t make me happier.
